E-Rekha is Kerala's online repository of land records and survey data, developed by the Kerala Land Information Mission (KLIM). It provides landowners digital access to survey-based ownership details from the state's Survey and Land Records department. Users can view and purchase these records through the portal.

The key objectives are enabling landowners to access records digitally, protecting stakeholders' interests via digitized record preservation, promoting transparency in land transactions, and facilitating online viewing of survey records. Users must register on the website using details like name, email, address, and mobile number. The email becomes the user ID.

Once logged in, users can search for old survey records, district maps, or resurvey records by selecting the district, taluk, village, survey/block number, etc., from the 'File Search' section. Matched records can be previewed, and prescribed fees paid online to download them. Fees range from Rs. 550 for area lists to Rs. 1,400 for land registers and Rs. 1,000 for maps.

The portal also allows verifying land documents' authenticity by uploading them. Additionally, online catalogs list available FMB (Field Measurement Book) data and settlement records village-wise and block-wise, with users able to drill down to survey numbers.

Other features include a dedicated helpline, email assistance, enabling anytime-anywhere access to land data, digital archiving of records, and promoting transparency in land dealings across Kerala.

  2. Log in to the portal by providing your email ID and password, and click on 'Sign In'. If you haven't registered before, click on 'Sign Up'.
  3. Navigate to the 'File Search' section on the menu bar.
  4. Select the type of record you wish to access: 'Old Survey Records', 'District Maps', or 'Resurvey Records'.
  5. Choose your district, taluk, village, and the type of document from the drop-down menus.
  6. Enter the relevant survey number and block number.
  7. Click on 'Submit' to initiate the search.
  8. You can preview the matched document on the portal.
  9. To download the document, click on the 'Checkout' button.
  10. Verify the necessary details and pay the applicable document fee.
  11. Once the payment is processed, you can download and save the survey record for future reference.

E-Rekha KLIM Registration Process

To access the services offered by E-Rekha, users must register on the portal. The registration process is as follows:

  1. Visit the E-Rekha website.
  2. Click on 'Sign Up' in the top right-hand corner of the page.
  3. Provide your name, email ID, and create a password. Confirm the password.
  4. Enter your address, mobile number, and pin code.
  5. Copy the given digits into the box for verification.
  6. Click on 'Register'.
  7. Note that your email ID will be your username for logging in to the portal.
  8. Once registered, use your credentials to log in and access land record data related to Kerala.

Accessing Kerala Revenue Map Records on E-Rekha

To check Kerala revenue map records on the E-Rekha portal, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the E-Rekha website.
  2. Navigate to the 'File Search' section on the menu bar.
  3. Click on 'Resurvey Records'.
  4. Under the 'Map' category, select one of the options: FMB, Block Map, or Supply FMB.
  5. Under 'Registers', select one of the options: LR, BTR, Correlation, BTR, or Area Register.
  6. Enter your district, taluk, village, block number, and sheet number.
  7. Click on 'Submit'.
  8. You will need to pay the applicable fee to download the revenue map record and view it.

By following these steps, users can easily access various types of land records, including survey records, district maps, resurvey records, and revenue map records, through the E-Rekha portal.

Registration requires name (alphanumeric, ≥5 characters), email, password (≥5 characters with letters, capital, number), address, mobile, and pin code. The 'Forgot Password' option guides retrieval.

To check records, log in, go to 'File Search', select record type, enter location and survey details, submit, preview, checkout, and pay online. For revenue maps, select map type and registers after clicking 'Resurvey Records'.

The FMB and settlement data catalogs allow viewing available data village/block-wise by using the 'Detailed view' option.

Payment is through internet banking. Not all of Kerala's villages are covered yet - 439 have preliminary survey data and 813 have been resurveyed so far.
